Time to Get in the Habit

I feel like it's time to get in the habit of blogging. Grandma Haney asked how she could get updates on how Jason and I are doing, and I told her she could look at our blog. That was over a month ago, and I haven't done ANYTHING for much longer than that on here.

I've decided it's a lot like writing in your journal. If you put it off too long, you start feeling like you have to catch up on everything you missed in between. So then you just don't do it at all, which is even worse. So my goal is to blog just a little bit every week. That way I'm staying on top of it but not feeling overwhelmed by needing to catch up on every event that has happened in the last however many months.

I feel like I ought to add at least a few wedding pictures to the blog, so here are some of my favorites. The big day was July 15, 2011 at the Newport Beach, California temple.

So many people we love came to support us!

And so the saying goes. "First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes...."

A baby GIRL!
Introducing Baby Nau, due August 1, 2012

Okay, this was my first attempt at a "baby bump" picture. I totally felt like I was showing SO much and you can barely even see that I have a bump. Ha ha. Here's a more obvious baby bump pic:

That's enough blogging for now, but I'll throw something out again soon. I PROMISE.

We Are Boring

We never ever blog. Maybe we'll be better at this when we're not planning a wedding and redoing a house. Maybe not. Sorry if you actually check this and nothing EVER changes.

I just want to throw out some pics to show what's been happening lately with home improvement and wedding plans.

These are some engagement pics that we chose from for our invitations...

And the winner is.....

I'm just happy most things are planned at this point! And by the way, has anyone ever wondered why the window is SO small for creating your blog draft? Maybe I just don't know how to make it bigger yet because I'm a baby blogger.

Now on to home improvement. Here is a video of Jason doing recessed lighting in our kitchen. He told me he was good with tools, but he is GOOD. Thank goodness or this house would still look like it jumped straight out of the early 90's.

And some more photos to show you how much work has gone into this house. Here is before and after carpet in one of the extra bedrooms:

This was our appliance jungle in the garage for a while until things were finished inside:

And finally, Jason mid-recessed lighting project, and me once he was all finished. You can tell I worked the hardest, right? Ha. Mmmm! What a man...

Hopefully we'll post again soon, but I can't promise anything. There's still a wedding coming up!

Our Wedding Colors

So we have been contemplating so many different colors, color combinations and what we like and dislike; that choosing wedding colors has turned into a tedious task.  But after realizing that we wanted to have a "simple but slammin'" wedding, we chose some classic colors.  And here they are:

CHARCOAL
BABY BLUE
SILVER
WHITE

We're stoked on these colors and can't wait to rock them!  Were stoked to be getting married and love life right now, even though others just don't seem to share our excitement haha.  As you follow our blog, we'll try not to be "GroomKong" and "Bridezilla".

Let It Begin

Katie and I have been engaged as of Friday at 6:18 PM!  How do we feel about being engaged?  Well, watch this video.  It sums up how we feel pretty darn good...
